Goma is the capital of North Kivu province in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo. It is located on the northern shore of Lake Kivu, next to the Rwandan city of Gisenyi. Goma with its rich culture, several activities to do and place to see on the feet of Nyiragongo volcano. The city is also the main entrance to the famous Virunga National Park, with its rich biodiversity and active volcanoes.
