The Congo Nile Trail

Congo Nile Trail is an exciting ten day hiking experience all inclusive a spectacular 227 Kilometers walk from Gisenyi in the northern Lake Kivu shores to Kamembe in the south through Kibuye and the famous Congo Nile Divide

Unlike any other walk, the scenery is geographically spectacular and ever changing – Village on top of hills, rivers, lakes, waterfalls, reefs and sandy beaches.

Mudende Cycle Route

An exciting true rural Africa experience inclusive of a spectacular 50 Kilometers loop trail that starts from Gisenyi city all the way to Mudende (Imbabazi Orphanage) and loop back to the city.

The Mudende Cycle Route, unlike any other trail, is only a 48 km loop of cycle routes that make up the Rubavu district bike circuit. The trail is bounded by beautiful hills, community farms and aligned Villages.

Prepare yourself to meet with Western Rwanda people’s smiles and a hundred of bikes loaded with vegetables along the way.

Start the Tea loop trail from Gisenyi City, cycle or hike to The Pfunda tea plantation, Pfunda offers the unique Agri based experience due to its accessibility and permanent contact with local community.

Cyimbiri Coffee Route

The Cyimbiri Coffee loop trail is a two days experience starting from Gisenyi, Hike or cycle all the way to the famous Cyimbiri bay coffee washing station for the full coffee washing experience.

The site offers also camping facilities, interaction with the community and a great traditional coffee testing experience.

Ubumwe Community Center

Came as relieve to many disabled persons residing in Gisenyi town and neighboring village.
Through various skills, disabled persons at UBUMWE community center learn to be self reliant, and they gain their self esteem. Actually the center assist over 150 disabled persons both genders of different disabilities, ages and abilities.

Night Fishing

The overnight traditional fishing is the most exiting adventure’s activities in Lake Kivu area.
Came and experience the daily living of local fishermen.

Starting from 6:00 PM to midnight, fishermen leaves the shore on their wooden boats, singing songs of encouragement as they set out for a long night's work.
